Dr. Salemy performed a breast lift and augmentation for me during the Fall 2008. To say that I am satisfied would be an understatement. My surgery was quite challenging given the extent of the lift, yet Dr. Salemy was able to very successfully uplift, reshape, and enhance the look and feel of my breasts. He was also very clear about the pre and post surgical experience, so nothing came as a surprise. Not only is he exceptionally trained and recognized as an up and coming leader in the field of plastic surgery, he is also very focused on the well-being of his patients, evidenced by the fact that he contacted me, even while on vacation, to make sure my post-surgery recovery was as smooth as we had originally anticipated. I believe that the greatest testament to his work is the fact I will never use any other plastic surgeon…not only is he exceptionally skilled as a surgeon, but his patient-focus is unsurpassed.

This is a review of Dr. Shahram Salemy, a plastic surgeon in Seattle, WA. Dr. Salemy is a breath of fresh air and personal doctor care like the good old days. As soon as I met Dr. Salemy I knew he was the right surgeon for me. His bedside manner is something you really don’t find anymore in the newer generation of doctors. I work in a hospital setting and interact with doctors everyday and very few realize that a little compassion, understanding and kindness can make a world of difference to a patient who is feeling scared, confused and intimidated.

I have had large breasts since I was a teenager and hated my big bust ever since. When I was young I felt out of place among my friends because I was the only one who had developed to such a big size. As a young woman I was very self conscious about my 36DD bust, I was barely 5’ and weighed about 100 lbs so most of me was in front of me. It has always been so hard to find clothes that fit well, not to mention bras that fit and are comfortable. After years of working in the medical field I realized that I could no longer endure the pain. The weight of my breasts was causing back/neck pain and the pain was starting to radiate to my arms/hands.

I am in my early fifties and more aware about my health than ever, so I knew that taking care of this matter was no longer considered cosmetic, but a medical necessity in my life. When I consulted with Dr. Salemy, he discussed the technique he was going to use and why he felt that would be the best approach for my particular situation.

Dr. Salemy and his staff were very caring, understanding and communicated with me every step of the way. The postop discomfort was very tolerable and I only took pain medicine for 3-4 days. I am so happy with my results: I went from a DD to a C cup, and being four month post-op I no longer have pain or discomfort! The scars under my breasts are invisible, my neck and back pain are gone and my breasts are not hanging down to my belly button- instead they are sitting up where they are supposed to be. Very rewarding and well worth it!! Thank you Dr. Salemy for your caring manner and wonderful hands.

Dr. Salemy is one of the most competent, most caring physicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with…he answered endless questions in a patient and caring manner and always took his time with me…he made me feel it was very important to him personally that I felt safe and secure and assured of a good outcome…I could not have asked for a more competent, professional, and compassionate doctor and the results were and continue to be fabulous! I am so happy with the results of my neck and lower face. It was truly amazing to walk into your office one week after surgery and look 10 to 15 years younger without looking obvious that I had surgery. Yesterday was a month after surgery and I cannot stop looking at the new me. Several people who have no idea that I have had surgery have told me that I look great, and one person said to me “You never seem to age and look younger every time I see you”.

I have told my closest friends and family about you because I want to share my wonderful experience. I am so grateful to have found a brilliant and caring surgeon. I would highly recommend you to anybody considering surgery.

Dr. Salemy has a way of putting you at ease and making you feel totally comfortable. After the initial appointment my mind was made up. I have no regrets at all and if anything, I wish I had had the surgery sooner. It has been the best choice I have ever made and there are no real words to explain how much my body has changed. I feel young and healthy. The things I can now do have no limit anymore.

Given that my professional background is in health care management, I have had a great deal of experience in managing and evaluating health care services. I can say without hesitation that the quality of care I received from Dr. Salemy and his staff was flawless. Appointments were always prompt and at my convenience. All of my pre and post surgery questions were always answered in a manner that made me feel extremely satisfied and confident. The clinic has excellent nursing surgery support staff who telephoned me at home several times before the surgery and then on set days after my surgery.

The entire health care team starting with reception, the nursing staff, the Patient Services Coordinator, accounting staff and of course their team leader Dr. Salemy were beyond a doubt, the most outstanding group of health care service providers that I have ever had the pleasure of working with either professionally or as a patient. They were seamless in the delivery of first class quality health care with total respect and concern for patient confidentiality and well-being. Dr. Salemy who has impeccable bedside manner has a genuine passion for his profession and commitment to his patient – attributes that I wish one could find in every physician.

Additionally, I am thrilled with the results of the plastic surgery work that Dr. Salemy did for me and therefore have no hesitation in recommending him – he is an outstanding Plastic Surgeon.

Dr Salemy did such a wonderful job on my breast reconstruction, I no longer have to hide my breasts. He included me in the options and decisions I had to make and I felt very comfortable. I was so impressed, that I asked him to do a lower face lift for me. He did such a wonderful job on both counts, that I now have confidence and pride in the way I look.

As someone who is extremely anxious about having any medical procedure done, I had to have a complete personal sense of trust in my doctor before I could have the confidence to move forward. Dr. Salemy helped me understand exactly what the procedure would entail, explained all the options available to me and, most importantly, gave me his recommendation as to what would produce the best result. I was encouraged to move forward only when I was ready and only with those procedures with which I felt comfortable.

I now have exactly the results I was hoping for — my eyes no longer look tired and I don’t have the hollows underneath. Yet, the results are still subtle and natural-looking. I was very prepared for the surgery and Dr. Salemy made sure I knew exactly what to do (and not to do) in order to facilitate my recovery.

Wow! That was my first words 3 weeks after surgery and we were taking post surgery pictures. I looked great then, but now at almost 6 months after my surgery it is really WOW! WOW! I absolutely love the improvements to my body. I had breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. It all looks and feels natural now. My husband is ecstatic about the improvements. I am 47 years old and wanted to improve myself after two kids. I had one child when I was 30 years old and the other one at 40 years old. I felt like a deflated balloon. We definitely achieved the expected results I was looking for. I can’t wait for you to make a few more (face, leg/butt area) improvements that I would like, and then I will age gracefully from that point.On my quest in finding the right doctor and surgery center I had some criteria. A doctor I felt confident in his skills, up on the latest technology. A doctor who does all of the surgery not handing it off to the nurse to do or finish up. A doctor’s office that has their own accredited surgery center. Your center and staff are top notch in my book, awesome bedside manner and professionalism throughout. Dr. Salemy took care of my daughter in the emergency room when she hurt herself. His bedside manner was wonderful, not to mention that he fixed my daughter’s face wonderfully.
