We hear this question all the time. Patients call in, and somewhere in the conversation, they ask it in one way or another. “Am I too old for this?”
Here’s the honest answer. It’s not really about your age. It’s about your health.
We’ve treated patients as young as 16 and as old as their late 80s. What matters most isn’t the number on your driver’s license. It’s really about your overall health, and working together with your primary care doctor to make sure you’re ready.
If you’re over 50, we’ll ask for clearance from your primary care provider before moving forward. And if you have a condition that needs a specialist, you’ll need their sign off too. It’s just part of doing this safely.
What ages do we actually see?
Breast procedures and mommy makeovers: any age. We don’t see a strong pattern here, patients come to us at every stage of life. (We even had one patient ask for a “grandma makeover,” a full face and body refresh. We loved that.)
Facial rejuvenation usually starts around the mid-40s, though we’re seeing that shift younger. A lot of that comes down to GLP-1 medications. You’ve probably heard the phrase “Ozempic face” by now. We’re not fans of that term, but the effect it describes is real. When you lose weight quickly, your skin doesn’t always keep up. It sags. And that’s bringing younger patients into our office asking about facial rejuvenation earlier than expected. So if you’re wondering whether you’re the “right age” for a procedure, take a step back from the number. Ask instead whether you’re healthy enough, and whether it’s the right time for you.
