Patient Spotlight: Nipple Reduction
Nipple reduction surgery is fast becoming a very popular procedure, in particular on women who have breast fed and have noticed their nipples have elongated and caused them not only discomfort but perhaps even embarrassment in clothing. This mom in her early 30s was having a breast augmentation and wanted to have the nipple reduction performed at the same time. I performed the nipple reduction through an incision at the base of the nipple (where the nipple transitions into the areola) to create a very nice, youthful appearance. These incisions heal extremely well and are nearly impossible to see, as seen in her postop photo taken 8 weeks after her procedure.
