Patient Spotlight: August 2010: Rhinoplasty

Nose reshaping surgery, or rhinoplasty, is one of the more common procedures I perform and in most if not all cases I’m able to perform the procedure without any incisions on the skin– this is called a “Closed” Rhinoplasty and I think it creates a very nice final result without any chance of an obvious incision on the skin.

This young woman was interested in a more elegant appearance to her nose that was more in balance with the rest of her facial features.  During her rhinoplasty, we reduced the bump on the top of her nose (called the dorsal nasal hump), refined the tip, and then gently elevated it, which creates a very feminine, natural result, as seen in her “After” photo taken 6 weeks after her procedure.
