Mahin and Saifulla Salemy High School Scientific Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by Shahram Salemy, MD FACS.

It is open to high school seniors in the United States who have been accepted to and will attend college (either 4-year or community) in the United States, and have an interest in the sciences.

Plastic surgery is the branch of scientific medicine that is dedicated to the reconstruction and repair of the body. It can correct deformities that are a result of accidents, birth defects, or illness, in addition to improving overall aesthetics of the body. Not only is it a science, but plastic surgery is also an art that helps individuals increase their confidence.

One student will be honored with a scholarship award of one thousand dollars (US $1,000.00), which will be issued to his or her accepting college.

Deadline: June 30, 2022

Eligibility and application process includes:

  • Written application
  • Personal statement
  • 3 references (teachers or employers)
  • In-person or other interview

Scholarship recipients will be notified by Dr. Salemy or a representative and receive the scholarship award approximately 60 – 90 days after the deadline in the form of a check payment to your accepting college. By participating, you are giving your consent for us to contact you via mail, email, phone or other means. In addition, if you are a winner, you are giving us your express consent to use your name, school or college identification and application or essay information, and photos of you for any promotional purposes, including but not limited to on this site and/or in or social media, without further compensation or payment to you or your school or college. The scholarship recipient is responsible for payment of any applicable State and/or Federal income or other taxes due as a result of the scholarship award.
